Henry Point Development, in partnership with its sister development company, Anderson Trudeau, is pleased to announce plans to reposition a 1960’s era “Quickie Mart” into a vibrant, multi-tenant development.

The property is directly adjacent to both the Overlook and Arbor Lodge neighborhoods – which are recognized as highly popular, rapidly developing areas that blend historic charm with modern urban density, but are underserved in terms of quality food and beverage operators. The property sits two blocks north of theAdidas North America Headquarters, in the heart of the Overlook neighborhood.

Although it’s not much to look at in its current configuration, the building is a beautiful example of classic mid-century Googie Architecture — complete with a unique diamond pattern roof / canopy structure which is intact and buried behind the 80's facade.

To complement the building’s unique architecture, the development team plans to construct an outdoor pergola structure using the same framing techniques and appearance — creating a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining space and architectural feature that is reminiscent of a classic Palm Springs drive in.

The building and pergola structure will be complemented by a new, separate 1,000 SF auxiliary structure that will house five (5) x 200 SF micro kitchens. The micro kitchens are larger than a traditional food cart and will be more visually cohesive, while offering more prep space, dry good storage and refrigeration, which are critical elements for successful operators to meet demand and grow their business.
